Awesome tool! The wedding cost estimator

Tuesday, February 16, 2010

I found this estimator tool while I was researching the internet to find out how my prices for wedding photography measured up with other professional photographers in Richmond, Va. I found that the average price a couple will pay for wedding photography is between $1000 and $2000 depending upon what you want in your package. I'm happy to announce that you can get a great package from Dan Iott Photography in this price range.

This is a great tool that gives you a quick way to estimate the cost of your wedding by choosing the products and services you want to have included in the cost. The other cool thing is that this information is based on what couples have paid historically not the list prices published by the photography studio.

Click here to use the tool. Try out several cost scenarios! Tell 'em Dan Iott sent you!

A wondrous wedding in Stratford

Friday, August 28, 2009
From the moment I met them, I knew Kristan and Ryan's wedding was going to be special. Although Kristan's description of her wedding day plans really intrigued me, (especially her dress, theme colors and chosen venue), nothing could have prepared me for the stunning beauty of her wedding day. Held at the Stratford Plantation near Montross Virginia (Robert E. Lee's birthplace), I was blown away by the shear elegance and beauty of it all.

The bridesmaids wore Deep Sea Blue to match their eyes (that's right - all the bridesmaids had blue eyes!). Ryan and the guys looked very cool in their elegant bow-tied tuxes. And Stratford hall was a photographer's dream - with its Antebellum brick and stairway, gardens and vistas of the rolling hills and the Potomac river off in the distance. Whew! Check out this link to see a storybook of their wedding:

Or check out this link for a slideshow with music:

The ceremony started at 6pm and was beautiful in the setting sun. Then the reception went on well into the balmy yet breezy August night. The band was killer playing a combination of blues and rock - the lead singer and guitarist literally getting right into the middle of an adoring crowd. It was truly a night to remember.

In the words of Jim, Ryan's best man: "I can't wait to see what Kristen and Ryan do next!" Kristan and Ryan you rock! Thanks for letting Dan Iott Photography capture the magic!

Senior Portrait 2010 - Erin

Our second senior was Erin. She's a friend of Kayla's and just as beautiful! Kayla and Erin are a study in contrasts: Kayla - tall, slender with blond straight hair and Erin - petite, darker features and that awesome wavy hair. Erin came with Kayla for a two-for-one session and after we finished in the studio we went down to Richmond's Canal walk for more pictures out and about.

Senior Portrait 2010 - Kayla

"Well, we've being gearing up for the 2010 High School Senior season for a few months now. Creating backgrounds, working on the website, and getting out the word that Dan Iott Photography is ready to make awesome photographs of Richmond's high school seniors!

Our first senior this year was Kayla (she's the really pretty blond haired girl featured in many of the senior images on our website). Kayla came to the studio last year to have her high school pictures done and they turned out so well Dan put a bunch of her pictures on his website. Kayla looks really cool in this years pictures too. We did a two hour session with Kayla in-studio and out and about. How about this picture of her in the Zebra wrap!

Senior Portrait 2010 - Jordan Jez

Just so you know, Jordan Jez is Dan Iott Photography's newest associate. Besides being a great up and coming photographer and indispensable to Dan during photography sessions, he's very easy on the eyes. Don't take my word for it though - check out the composite of Jordan to the right!
